Inside CAMPFIRE — ¥100B funded, 5.1M members, 100k projects

CAMPFIRE by the numbers

  • ¥100B cumulative funding and 5.1M members (April 2025).
  • Over 100,000 projects (January 2025).
  • All-time record: PrinCube at ¥303.5M from 20,307 backers (2020).

The award's philosophy

From 2024 CAMPFIRE dropped rankings from its award in favour of eleven category prizes — judging social, regional and community impact, not just yen and headcount. The 2025 edition drew from 14,467 finished projects.

Who it's for

Community, local, music and first-timers. It's Japan's foremost home for projects that spread on story over numbers. See also the CAMPFIRE profile in our directory.
